Is Truck Driving the Right Career for You?

Being a truck driver is not necessarily a job for everyone. In our no-obligation pre-training interview, we will present a straight forward representation of what is involved. We at OTR Driving School are here to answer any and all questions for our prospective students. Feel free to call us and ask any questions you have about truck driving and our school. Remember, there is no obligation – ever!

Do Our Teaching Beliefs Meet Your Expectations?

Our primary goal is to help our students succeed. While we cannot cover every single situation that a truck driver faces, each of our Class 1 and 3 students receives a copy of our 100-page manual. This manual introduces many subjects such as, road hazards, emergencies, winter driving, night driving, backing up, loading dock procedures, and parking. The manual prompts students to ask questions that our instructors will answer before or after their next lesson.

Mountain Training course includes all day mountain trip up the Coquihalla Hwy to Kamloops and then back down Fraser Canyon. During this trip, most of the skills learned will be used. You will come away from this experience with greater confidence in your ability and understanding of the conditions a truck driver faces driving in the mountains.
